    Description

    This is a cabinet card photograph dated 1896 and titled "1653 Nicolaikirche, Hamburg."  It was photographed by K. S. Hof, Dresden and published by Verlag, Rommler & Jonas.  It has some pale smudges in the sky area.  Otherwise it is perfect with no bends, tears, creases or stains.  There is no information on the back.  This church was once the tallest building in the world.  It was severely damaged during World War II.
