    These are New Old Stock, they are premium Hermes resin bond aluminum oxide belts.  The belt is 2-1/2" wide and 132" long and is P80 grit (medium).  This belt is J-Weight cloth backing.  Because this belt is very flexible it is very popular with woodworkers that need additional contouring.  From the manufacturer this belt is listed as suitable for wood and very suitable for metal.  This belt has a closed coating resin bonding.
    This is a great all purpose abrasive. Manufactured with aluminum oxide grain in a closed coat - which means that close to 100% of the backing is covered in abrasive grain to cut faster and last longer. This full resin bond "X" weight belt is used on hardwoods, aluminum, mild steel, composite and solid surface.

    RB 406 J-Flex is one of the most efficient fast cutting abrasives available on the market, whatever your skill or need. Cloth backed and exceedingly flexible with aluminium oxide grit to do the cutting with grits ranging from 80 to 240. It has been popular with woodturners because although it has a tough J weight cloth backing and superb resistance to high temperatures, RB 406 has tremendous flexibility, enabling fracture free folds to access very tight corners and can easily be resized into suitable strips when required. This versatile abrasive can also be lubricated with oil or water to aid a finishing cut if required. Hemes RB 406 J-Flex was originally conceived to refine and polish exotic metals for industrial production processing in exacting environments such as the aircraft industry to polish very tight radii. Additionally the product was developed to resist high friction temperatures and the blunting effects of 'capping' (when swarf welds itself to the abrasive grain). So whether you are working with wood or metal, RB 406 is one of the essentials for a fine finish and the answer to stock removal in awkward difficult-to-get-at places.
