Description

We are selling sealed 5-packs (as shown in the photos) of these
Itoya SWITCH â„¢ STC-12 Pre-Loaded Interchangeable Staple Cassettes
.  Each cassette in a 5-Pack contains a single strip of 200 staples.  So the 5-packs we are selling each contain a total of 1000 staples.
These staples are made to fit the Itoya ST-5 Stapler.  What's great about that stapler is that if you need staples of different lengths / capacities, it's so easy to swap the various types of interchangeable color-coded staple cassettes Itoya offers, that you don't need to keep 5 different "loaded" staplers around to tackle different projects, or keep removing and replacing "strip" staples (that always fall apart into "chunks" if they get handled very much -- I know, it's happened to me often) to achieve a different length of paper penetration.
The plastic body of these cassettes is color-coded Red in this case, being the longest "leg length" available from Itoya, which rates these staples as capable of binding 70-100 sheets of paper at a time.  You should assume that "sheet count" is based on standard 20 pound bond paper, like what is generally used in photocopiers and printers.
Please note, as this listing states and as is shown on the packaging of what we were selling, that these staples are labelled as having been made in Japan.  Our only current ebay competitor's listing states that what they are selling was made in China.  Since they only include a single tightly cropped edge-on photo of one staple pack, with no text on it at all, there is no way to know whether they made a mistake or are actually selling a product made in China rather than in Japan.  Many years ago, as in long before 1970, the phrase "Made in Japan" on a product (other than a few items such as precision optics including high end cameras such as Nikon) might suggest that it was not a high quality item.  I think that issue, for Japan, is long ago in the past.
"BEST OFFER" TIPS:
The full price on this item is low to start out with.  And if I accept an offer, the Post Office, or FedEx, or whatever, won't do me a favor by lowering their shipping rates.  So if you want to make an eBay "Best Offer", please know that unless you buy at least 2, your offer will not be accepted.  If for example you buy at least 2 to ship together at the same time to a single location, I can save some money on shipping compared to what I'd pay to ship each one separately, and that in turn will let me consider an offer for less than full price.  Someone recently made an offer for just , and then tried at .  If I'd taken either offer, I would have lost money because I'd accidentally forgotten to limit the countries to which I'd ship, and they were located in Puerto Rico.  To accept a "Best Offer" for so little on a single item purchase on something priced this low, my cost to ship, plus my cost to buy these for resale, plus the ebay fees, just doesn't make sense to me.  So while I will consider accepting a less than full price offer for 2 or more of these shipped together at the same time to a single address, I won't consider an offer for just 1 of these at less than full price.
SHIPPING (IN GENERAL):
Our policy that is built into this listing says that we will ship not more than one business day after payment is complete.  So please add that day to the projected "times in transit" below -- though if you pay by 12:00 noon on a weekday, we try to ship the same day as paid (and succeed most of the time).  We're too small an outfit to promise same-day-as-paid shipping, but we do that when we can, and our feedback indicates our customers appreciate that.
SHIPPING (FREE TO BUYER):
These items (not including shipping and packing material) weigh 5.4 ounces each.  We are showing Free shipping at time of Checkout as ebay's "Economy" class shipping, to give us the greatest flexibility in terms of choosing a shipping service that costs us the least to ship to you.  "Economy" means a method that can take up to 10 business days, but in reality, the time in transit should be 7 business days or less, and for a quantity purchase could be as few as 3 business days.  Here's why:
a.  If you only buy 1 or 2 of these and want Free shipping, we'll use
USPS First Class Mail
, which is supposed to take not more than
5
business days time in transit.  If you bought 3, the weight even without including the box or envelope would go over the 16 ounce maximum for First Class, so we'd have to use a different method to ship 3 at once.
b.  If you buy at least 3, but probably not more than 10, our least expensive way to ship to you would be via one of several options open to us using USPS Priority Mail -- still at no cost of shipping to you.  Such a shipment should be received by you within 2 to 3 business days after we ship it.
c.  If you buy a large number of these all at once (likely more than 10), and Priority Mail became more expensive than other options open to us, we'd use either FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, or FedEx SmartPost, depending on which method costs us the least.  SmartPost claims a maximum of 7 business days time in transit.  The other options all claim not more than 5 business days.  Note:  Depending on destination and total weight, which can affect the actual price we'd pay to use one of the above FedEx methods, we might still use Priority Mail to ship an order of 10 or more of these as being the least expensive way for us to ship to you.
NO-FAULT RETURNS
:  30 calendar day return time, running from date of first attempt at delivery by the USPS to your ebay verified shipping address, if you return these for any or no reason in the same condition as sent, at your expense.
CLAIMED SELLER FAULT RETURNS:
Ebay lets you return almost anything within 30 days after receiving it, if what was purchased is not what the listing represented it to be, no matter what limitations a seller may try to put on the reasons for return (and many do).  Please see exact details as provided by eBay at the top of this listing.  To the extent that ebay allows it, you must use a shipping class and type that costs no more than what we used to ship your item(s) to you.
