Print Based on Vintage Stained Glass Window
The beautiful colors! We love color! That’s what caught our eye on this stained glass window of the Archangel Michael. Angels are often portrayed brightly colored creatures of light, so what better way to represent them than a stained glass window? We can't send the window, but we do have the next best thing, a brilliantly colored print on a very white paper. We love the colored vestments he has! We enjoy looking at this picture.
This is an American stained glass window from 1908, and the style is straightforwardly American. Michael is simply standing, looking gentle but strong. He is traditionally shown with a sword, but a shield is an armament that gets across the idea of him being a Defender. He is normally depicted in battle with the devil, but we like how he is shown here: in church with us, serenely keeping guard.
    – 8.5 x 1
    1" acid-free paper
    – Archival pigments (rated to last for generations without fading if kept out of the sun)
    – Cardboard backer
    – Story of the card
    – Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
** IMPORTANT ** There is about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture, so the image is smaller than the paper.
